Tottenham midfielder Hojberg slams 'immature' Danes after Kazakhstan shock

Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojberg admits Denmark's defeat Kazakhstan was a shock.

The Danes lost 3-2 - having been ahead 2-0 - in their latest Euro qualifier.

Hojbjerg said, "I think the WC was hard, but I also think this is really bad. It's hard to rank things right, but this is too bad anyway. That's for sure.

"It is difficult to stand here and come up with a direct explanation. For me, it's about the fact that there are some things that are not about talent, right or left foot. It's more about the basic things you can do to stand your ground. It didn't happen, and it was too immature as a team.

"It is difficult to put into words. You must not lose such a battle. Are we too good to defend 2-0 at home or are we too bad to hold the game and play it around like that? You have to find a gear to drive in, but the problem is that we are idling, and then the others drive past us."
