Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen: I feel club's confidence in me

Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen insists he's committed to the club.

The Danish star's current deal in north London expires at the end of the season, and it looks unlikely he'll be agreeing fresh terms.

But he poured cold water on claims his uneven playing time was linked to his failure to sign a new deal, and stressed that the club have faith in him.

"I feel 100 per cent that Tottenham has complete confidence in me. There is not that big a difference, except that I play a little less this year," he told BT.

"I don't feel there is a connection between my contract situation and the fact that I haven't played as many matches."

On his form, Eriksen added: "I've been in the right situations. I just haven't taken the right decisions. It's a bit about the sharpness that is missing. This is something I have to work on myself."
