Tottenham midfielder Steven Bergwijn has leapt to defend manager Jose Mourinho and the club's medical staff.
Bergwijn was injured five games into his Spurs career with English press claims blaming Mourinho for pushing the midfielder too hard.
But Bergwijn told De Telegraaf, "Tottenham's medical staff was criticised. It was said that I wouldn't be fit, or overtired. Really rubbish again. I got kicked from behind (against Burnley), my ankle flipped double and I tore my ankle ligaments.
"I am happy that we can do something with the ball again. We are still training in adapted form. Our temperature is measured every day and we are tested twice a week for corona."
