Moussa Dembele's proposed transfer to Tottenham has reportedly fallen over.

According to Sky Sports, Spurs have opted against signing the 19-year-old French forward because they did not want to loan him back to Fulham for the remainder of the season.

Dembele underwent a medical with the North London club on Saturday but Spurs are apparently reluctant to allow him to stay put at Craven Cottage with 19th-placed Fulham bracing themselves for a relegation battle.

The Cottagers are keen to have Dembele with them for the final four months of the campaign before his contract expires this coming summer but Tottenham want him immediately as they continue to seek cover for Harry Kane.
