Tottenham join battle for Brentford attacker Said Benrahma

Tottenham have joined the battle for Brentford attacker Said Benrahma.

The Mirror says Tottenham are set to enter the race for £16million-rated forward Benrahma following Brentford's failure to achieve Premier League promotion.

The news comes with The Bees set to break up their strike force consisting of the Algerian playmaker, Bryan Mbeumo and Ollie Watkins, who scored 58 goals between them in the Championship last season.

Thomas Frank's side were defeated by Fulham in Tuesday night's play-off final, with Watkins also missing out on the Golden Boot.

Benrahma - who has been heavily linked with London side Chelsea and Arsenal - determined to play in the top flight next season, Brentford will listen to offers for their 24-year-old star.
