Tottenham are seriously interested in signing Joachim Andersen from Sampdoria.

According to Calciomercato, Spurs have a keen interest in the youngster, which has seen them hold talks with his club already.

Sampdoria vice-president Antonio Romei and club lawyer Paolo Busardo both traveled to London this week to work on a deal.

It is believed the young defender would cost nearly £22 million.

Anderson has been ever present for Sampdoria in the league this season.

The 22-year-old is seen as a Toby Alderweireld replacement at Tottenham.
