Tottenham in Granada talks for Domingos Duarte

Tottenham are interested in Granada defender Domingos Duarte.

Duarte attracted an approach from Spurs at the beginning of the transfer window and the Londoners are now returning ahead of next week's deadline.

AS says Tottenham's opening offer of €8m has been rejected by Granada.

With a buyout clause of €30m, Granada are seeking to sell Duarte for around €18m.

Despite signing Cristian Romero from Atalanta, Spurs remain in the market for another centre-half addition this month. Tottenham manager Nuno saw Toby Alderweireld leave for Al Duhail earlier this month.

Duarte, 26, joined Granada from Sporting CP two years ago in a €3m deal. He has a contract to 2023 and boasts two caps with Portugal. He played in a World Cup qualifier earlier this year.

Last season, Duarte played 42 games for Granada, scoring once. The defender can play at centre-half and fullback.
