Tottenham go after Chelsea winger Moses

The chase for Chelsea's Victor Moses has stepped up as Tottenham launch an £8million bid for the winger.

Moses, who has spent the past two seasons on loan with Liverpool and Stoke City, is said to be keen to return to London and continue his career where it all began with Crystal Palace back in 2007.

The 24-year-old Nigeria international, who looks to have a limited future at Chelsea, looks set to replace Andros Townsend at Tottenham.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has accepted that he will lose England international Townsend, with Newcastle United, Sunderland and Aston Villa all interested in the winger who has a £15million price tag.

There has been bad blood between the two London clubs, however, since Chelsea lured Frank Arnesen away from White Hart Lane a decade ago and Tottenham stopped Luka Modric from moving to Stamford Bridge in 2011.
