Tottenham have received a welcome relief in their congested fixture schedule.
Spurs were due to play the third round of the Carabao Cup against Leyton Orient on Tuesday.
However, the game was postponed, as Orient had an outbreak of COVID-19 cases at the club.
The Evening Standard reports Orient have now withdrawn from the game, giving Spurs a bye into the fourth round.
They will now face Chelsea in the next stage of the competition.
The League Two club did want to play the game due to the financial benefits, but would have found it difficult to field a team with up to seventeen members of their team test positive.
