Tottenham fullback Kyle Walker-Peters was delighted to be part of the 4-0 rout of Huddersfield at their new stadium.
Walker-Peters was making his debut at the stadium.
“I grew up in the area and I remember my dad bringing me to the old stadium when I was young to watch Brazil v Wales (2006). To be on the pitch now in our brand new stadium means an awful lot to me – and what the stadium is doing for the area as well… it's fantastic," he told the club's website.
“This area holds a big place in my heart. It's big for me. We used to play football just around the corner.
“I grew up at Tower Gardens (just off Lordship Lane, about a mile from the stadium) and we always used to use hedges as goals. It's surreal, really!"
