Tottenham fullback Trippier: Kane went mental at half-time

Injured Tottenham star Harry Kane got stuck into his teammates at half-time of their win Ajax in the Champions League semi-final second leg.

Spurs were down 3-0 on aggregate at the break but managed to score three goals in the second half to book their spot in the final.

And fullback Kieran Trippier has revealed Kane was "going mental" at his teammates in the dressing room.

"Harry is exceptional for club and country," the England right-back told Sky Sports.

"I don't know the timescale with his injury but obviously we're all hoping he can be back because of his presence, even here at half-time, he's coming in going mental at us because we can do better which we all knew.

"But this is what we need, the leadership that he has, the way he came in at half-time. He wasn't happy and we all knew that.

"He just gives us that extra lift because his presence is massive for us."
