The England U21 defender was offered to Fener just hours before the Turkish transfer deadline shut on Wednesday night.

CNN Turk says Spurs chiefs offered the versatile left-sided player to Fenerbahce in a bid to further his development.

And Fenerbahce manager Vitor Pereira was excited by the prospect of recruiting Sessegnon, telling bosses at Fenerbahce "let's get it right now" in response to a possible deal.

However, in the end the two clubs ran out of time to get a deal completed.
