Tottenham face decision on Southampton midfielder Hojbjerg

Tottenham Hotspur must make a decision on their quest to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg after Southampton indicated a bid from Everton had been accepted.

The Evening Standard reports both the Toffees and Spurs wish to sign Hojbjerg, who reportedly prefers Spurs.

But Tottenham's offer is below what Southampton want, and is less than Everton's roughly £25 million offer.

If that bid is accepted, Spurs would have to act quickly, or Hojbjerg may sign with Everton.

Tottenham may try to use Kyle-Walker Peters as a makeweight in the deal, as he is on loan with the Saints until the end of this season.

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of the midfielder and sees him as a key figure in the team next season.
