Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly determined to sign Milan Badelj from Fiorentina.

The 26-year-old Croatian midfielder has emerged on the radar of the North London club who are believed to have opened talks with La Viola last week.

Calciomercato claims Spurs approached the Florence outfit about Badelj and are now keen to continue talks for the former Hamburg and Dinamo Zagreb star.

Badelj has 17 caps for Croatia to his name and plays in a similar vein to Real Madrid star Luka Modric.
