Liverpool remain in pursuit of Borussia Monchengladbach's Mahmoud Dahoud.
According to Goal, the Reds have the 20-year-old as their top midfield target after missing out on Bayern Munich's Mario Gotze.
It is understood that Jurgen Klopp sees the Syrian-born Germany U21 international as a cheaper alternative to World Cup winner Gotze who recently stated he would remain with Bayern and fight for his place in Carlo Ancelotti's team.
Liverpool have long been linked with Dahoud but it is believed that they could make a serious move for his services when the summer transfer window opens, however, there is likely to be competition from Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund.
However, Gladbach may not be willing to sell having lost Granit Xhaka to Arsenal last week.
