Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga has paid tribute to Manchester City pair Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden.

Tanganga started in Saturday's 3-0 defeat at City.

On Sterling and Foden, he reflected, "They are two quality players and the most difficult thing about meeting them is that they have as fast brains as feet.

"You have to keep your eyes on the ball at all times because they can either dribble or find an opening pass.

"It was fun to make my season debut but as a defender it is never fun to let in goals so it is even worse to let in three."
