Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong is devastated by Cameroon's World Cup elimination.
A 2-1 defeat against Denmark in Pretoria on Saturday left the Indomitable Lions pointless after two matches, bottom of Group E and unable to qualify for the knockout stages.
"I'm devastated, sad, disappointed, everything," Bassong told the Spurs website. "We should have won the game, let alone draw or even lose.
"We created so many chances but we couldn't score the second goal. When you don't score and you've had chances like that, especially at the World Cup, you get punished.
"It's hard to take because I thought we deserved to win. Afterwards, I really couldn't believe we actually lost the game."
