Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld is looking forward to facing Champions League opponents PSV Eindhoven.

The former Ajax stopper admits games against PSV were used to prove himself in the Eredivisie.

Alderweireld told De Telegraaf: "In England you have a lot of big matches, but less in the Netherlands. In those kind of big games against PSV you could show how you dealt with those circumstances as a defender.

"PSV was always very strong against us in our own house. Those were really duels where you could test how good you were."
