Tottenham are still toying with the idea of offering the manager's role to Louis van Gaal if they don't finish in the top four this season.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss is being heavily linked with the Spurs job which is currently held by Tim Sherwood who took the reins from the sacked Andre Villas-Boas in December.
Reports suggest that Tottenham are still eyeing van Gaal, who is keen to return to club management, and may look to sort an agreement with him if a top-four Premier League finish becomes unachievable.
