Tottenham coach Les Ferdinand is unsure if former Newcastle United teammate Alan Shearer has enough time to lift the club out of the bottom three.

Ferdinand said: "It's not as easy as that.

"Everyone to a man has helped Spurs climb the table, now we are safe and that was the main priority."

Ferdinand added: "They are still in with a chance but it is a tough one."
