Tottenham chief Levy greenlights deal for Real Sociedad forward Willian Jose

Tottenham are ready to spend money on a center forward as the new season gets underway.

The London club suffered a disappointing opening weekend defeat to Everton at home.

They could not find the necessary attacking thrust, despite Harry Kane starting, and gave away all three points.

And El Desmarque claims chairman Daniel Levy has now greenlit a move for a striker.

Spurs will go in for Real Sociedad forward Willian Jose.

The club tried to sign him in January for roughly €20 million, but the offer was turned down.

With football finances rocked by COVID-19, the bid may be enough to get the player this time around.

Willian Jose is 28, Brazilian, and has spent the past four seasons with Sociedad. He managed 11 goals in 37 La Liga appearances last term.
