Tottenham caretaker manager Mason admits he wants fulltime job: O'Neil the example

Tottenham caretaker manager Ryan Mason admits he wants the fulltime job.

Mason says he's drawn inspiration from Gary O'Neil through his work at Bournemouth.

He said, "I have always said that I am ready. I'm ready for that moment. I feel I can help the club. I've felt that way ever since the club showed their trust in me by giving me this responsibility.

"Eddie (Howe) is an inspiration, but one that is not talked about much is Gary O'Neil. His work has gone under the radar, but he is a young English manager in his first job.

"He also inspires me because he is young, has his first job and has done fantastically well. Everyone who sits in this position will have faith and trust that he can have a positive impact."
