Tottenham captain Lloris identifies positives from West Ham defeat

Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris insists there were positives to take from Sunday's loss to West Ham United.

Spurs went down 1-0 after Michail Antonio scored from a corner in the 72nd minute.

While Lloris was happy with some aspects of the game, the Frenchman has urged his teammates not to concede goals from set-pieces.

"I think it is the kind of game that if you cannot win, you don't lose it," added the Frenchman. "Especially set pieces you need to be even more focused when you face a team like West Ham.

"And then I think if you look at the game, we had our chances, especially in the first half. We had two or three big chances to open the score and the game would have been different.

"I think in terms of performance, there are a lot of positives, especially in terms of possession.

"I felt we did good and stayed calm with the ball, but we still need to improve in the final third.

"Maybe it demands more accuracy and being more clinical with the last pass. It is painful to lose the derby, but we need to move on."
