Tottenham captain King: Not a bad point from Birmingham

Ledley King insists Tottenham can be satisfied with their 1-1 draw at Birmingham City.

Captain at St Andrews, King had mixed emotions afterwards - naturally disappointed with the late goal, but equally realising that a point at the home of the Premier League's form team was far from a disaster.

"It was a scrappy game but I thought we were the better team," he told the Spurs website. "We'd done the dirty work and I thought at times we got the ball down and tried to play.

"We got in front and we'd done the hard work, but that's why Birmingham have done so well this season, they make you work until the last minute and they defend superbly as well, throwing bodies in the way of shots. That's what they've done all season.

"Obviously, a point was never going to be a bad result at St Andrews but the circumstances, conceding a late goal, makes it feel like a loss.

"Having come so close to taking all three points, we're all disappointed to only take one, but as I said, it's not a bad point and we can take positives away from the performance as well."
