Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has revealed he wanted to send Tom Huddlestone to MLS to improve his fitness.
Redknapp revealed today that Spurs had tried to loan the midfielder to their partner club, the American side San Jose Earthquakes, in a bid to get him fit, but the deal fell through.
"We were hoping to send Tom on loan to San Jose for a couple of months just to get him playing, but the MLS wouldn't sanction the deal. I don't know why," Redknapp said.
