Tottenham are eyeing Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Mirror says Spurs have long held an interest in Adebayor, but boss Harry Redknapp has gone on record as citing City's refusal to sell to a top-four rival as a stumbling block.
Adebayor will also have to take a pay cut on his £170,000-a-week wages to interest Tottenham and other Premier League clubs.
The player himself has told friends that he would not be averse to joining Spurs, despite having played for their arch-rivals Arsenal.
