Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has told critics most managers these days delay naming their line-ups for as late as possible before kickoff.
Reacting to criticism of England coach Fabio Capello's approach, Redknapp wrote in his column for The Sun: "Jamie Carragher said the other day that in 12 years at Liverpool he has never known the team until shortly before the match starts. It's never bothered him.
"I also believe there is a growing problem among clubs of dangerous leaks, which can cause you massive problems.
"And over the last seven or eight years the creeping menace of texting has made it more and more difficult to keep your team a secret."
