Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino admits they benefitted from greater risks after halftime of their Champions League win over PSV Eindhoven.

Spurs won 2-1 thanks to two late goals.

Pochettino stated: "It was a tough game. We played very good and created a lot of chances. We took a risk in the second half.

"The team deserved the victory. We won and suffered a lot. It was a massive effort so I was pleased. We play a lot in eight days. Now we need to try to recover for Saturday [at Crystal Palace].

"It is another must-win game. We are confident. This team is growing up. The team is fighting so I am so happy.

"We tried to fight. We have the character of never giving up which is so important. I am happy always with the situation. Today we kept pushing and that victory is so important."
