Tottenham boss Pochettino raps players: Where's the bravery? The fight?

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has asked his players: Where's your bottle?!

Pochettino has questioned his players' "fight" and "bravery" after losing three games on the bounce.

Tottenham had a large contingent whose season was extended by World Cup duty in Russia.

Pochettino said: “But we gave all the players 21 days off. More than some teams. I think Man City... I was talking with Mikel Arteta... they agreed to have only 15 days holiday and they arrived one week before our players.

“When I was playing I wasn't the best but you need to have that bravery or desire to fight with someone. Because it's about a fight at a corner. You need to watch the ball but don't lose your man. If you lose him, all the tactics and preparation is gone.

“The big teams always have big personality players, characters, winning mentality, maybe not the best but winners.

“In the Premier League and the Champions League you need to defend and be brave. If not, you can lose.

“It's not a tactical question because we can defend in zonal or individual, it's more. But there's another game and that's to have the mentality that means if you mark in your zone then I'm going to win."
