Mauricio Pochettino says he cannot do anything about the money Tottenham spent on reinforcements in the summer of 2013.
Spurs sold Welsh star Gareth Bale to Real Madrid for £85.3million two years ago and immediately went on a spending spree, bringing in seven players for a total of £110m.
The north London brought in Erik Lamela, Roberto Soldado, Paulinho, Christian Eriksen, Etienne Capoue, Vlad Chiriches and Nacer Chadli prior to Pochettino arriving last summer.
The Argentine has since offloaded Paulinho, Capoue and Chiriches while Soldado is being heavily linked with Villarreal but insists he does not blame those involved for the failed signings.
“I never talk about what happened in the past," he said ahed of Tuesday night's clash with Real in the Audi Cup in Munich.
“I wasn't at the club.
“People took the decisions and sometimes good things happen and sometimes they don't. It's not a big problem. “It's always tough to manage the big club like Tottenham — with or without money."
