Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is no longer Manchester United's first choice to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should the Norwegian get the sack, it's been claimed.

Pochettino has long been on the radar of United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

Solskjaer has struggled at the helm this season, with Manchester United just two points off of the relegation zone after eight games played.

Gazzetta dello Sport says United have started to prepare for life after Solskjaer, should the axe be wield.

And Massimiliano Allegri has moved to the top of the wishlist, in place of Pochettino, who is currently struggling at Tottenham.
