Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has assured his players he won't make team selection based on contract status.
The London Evening Standard says Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen have all entered the final year of the current deals and their futures remain up in the air as Spurs head into the new season.
With the European transfer window still open for a few more weeks, the Spurs' trio could all potentially engineer moves away from north London should foreign clubs register a firm interest in them.
Danny Rose, who has two years left on his current deal, was also told he could search for a new club before Spurs headed out on their pre-season tour of Asia.
However, despite the lingering uncertainty, Pochettino insisted that he will continue to select his strongest starting XI regardless of their transfer status.
