Tottenham boss Pochettino happy for Ndombele after debut goal

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was pleased to see Tanguy Ndombele score on debut in victory over Aston Villa.

Spurs defeated Aston Villa 3-1 on the opening day of their season.

Pochettino as delighted to see Tanguy hit the target. “It's always important for a player who is making his debut, he showed great quality and I'm very pleased for him. We still have a lot of work to do with him, but I think his quality has started to show and he is going to be great for the team."

It was put to the manager that 60,000 fans had gone home happy after our first season opener at home since 2010!

He added: “The stadium was fantastic, our fans always the best in the world and I thank you again. After the (Champions League) final we didn't see you for a few months and we're always happy to share a great moment with our fans."
