Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino hailed his "amazing" team after their 6-2 rout of Everton.

It was a display to remember coming hot on the heels of last week's derby win at Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

“It was an amazing performance," said Pochettino. “We feel very proud about the performance and proud of the players for their efforts after Wednesday. We're flying on the pitch.

“It was so tough because we started the game really well, we created a lot of chances and then we conceded. We were down but the team spirit was fantastic to come back. It was amazing in the end, the performance.

“Overall, the 90 minutes were fantastic, nothing more to say. Of course, disappointed with the two goals we conceded. That is football. Everton are a very good team, you can always concede some chances but after Wednesday, that performance was fantastic."
