Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho wants two new signings made in January.

The Telegraph says Mourinho wants to sign two new players in January in his first transfer window as Spurs boss.

Mourinho is eyeing a back-up striker to Harry Kane and a defender to bolster his back-line.

Spurs allowed Fernando Llorente to leave in the summer with the likes of Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min providing support to Kane up front.

Mourinho is also keen to strengthen a defence that has allowed 21 goals in during the Premier League season so far.
