Tottenham boss Mourinho: Top 4 finish would be biggest career achievement

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho says a top four finish this season would be the biggest achievement of his career.

Mourinho has won top-flight titles in four countries, as well as two Champions Leagues, yet he claimed in the past that finishing second with Manchester United in the 2017-2018 season was the thing he was most proud of in his career.

But when asked about whether a top-four finish would eclipse his achievement with United two years ago ahead of their crucial game against Chelsea on Saturday, Mourinho simply said: "In these circumstances, yes."

When asked about whether he has experienced anything similar to the injury situation Spurs currently find themselves in, Mourinho said: "For sure it happened (but) I don't think for such a period of time.

"The boys did fantastic to put themselves back in the position we belong.. that is fighting for the top four... the situation is difficult, no one else in the Premier League or even in European football, is in such a difficult situation in term of injuries in specific positions.

"It's a good test of the players' resilience and spirit and a unique experience for them. We go together because next season we'll smile because we'll be in a very different situation."
