Tottenham boss Mourinho on massive Champions League bonus

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho will earn a massive bonus if his team secures Champions League qualification this season.

The Daily Mail says Mourinho will earn a giant £2m bonus if Spurs qualify for next season's Champions League.

The Portuguese manager took over from Mauricio Pochettino in November while Spurs were in 12th place and lying 11 points off the top four, and he has slightly improved their position since then, with his team now eighth and nine points away from fourth placed Chelsea .

Spurs have played in the Champions League for the last four seasons in a row, and their chairman Daniel Levy is said to be desperate for them to make it five next season.

Mourinho has been offered the incentive of an extra £2m in addition to his eyewatering £15m-a-year basic salary, the second-highest wage earned by a manager behind only Pep Guardiola.
