Tottenham boss Mourinho: Lucas, Lo Celso, Bergwijn trying to do miracles

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is full of praise for his attacking stand-ins.

Spurs lost to RB Leipzig and Chelsea in a matter of days last week as they struggled without injured strikers Harry Kane and Heung-min Son.

But Mourinho insists: "I have no complaints about my players.

“Opponents know if they score first then we are in trouble.

“I am proud of the boys. Especially, Lucas, Lo Celso, Bergwijn. They are trying to do miracles.

“It's going to be three long months for us. They will learn about resilience and effort. A very difficult experience.

“Look at Chelsea they played a World Cup winning striker up front, England's second striker on the bench, and Belgium's second striker in the stands.

“We had no strikers on the pitch, no strikers on the bench and two in the hospital."
