Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho says Tanguy Ndombele could start tonight against Manchester United.
Mourinho now appears far more hopeful that Tottenham's record signing will be in a position to succeed for the rest of the season, having largely disappointed since joining Spurs from Lyon in a £55m deal last summer.
His fitness had previously been brought into question, but it seems the Frenchman is ready to play a key role against Manchester United tonight.
"When he was back to the training ground, he was committed, he worked," Mourinho said. "I can see he was much more integrated in the group, in the spirit of the group.
"I think he understands more and more what we want from him. So I'm happy with his last couple of weeks where he showed us some of the great qualities that we know that he has. So yes [he's] ready for tomorrow."
