Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho admits the future of Gedson Fernandes is out of their hands.
Mourinho said, "We don't talk to other clubs, because the player is not ours, we talk to Benfica.
"Since we felt that we were not giving Gedson the chance to play many games and to be left out of the Europa League list, we felt that we had no right to keep him.
"If he stays, great, he is one more option for us and every time he plays, it's fine, so it would never be a problem to have him.
"If there is something between us and Benfica, yes, Benfica knows that we are open to collaborating with a friendly club like them, but I cannot confirm whether there is any other club involved, because honestly I don't know."
