Tottenham are blocking Dele Alli's departure today.

The midfielder wants to leave for Mauricio Pochettino's PSG before tonight's transfer deadline, with the French giants eager to close a loan deal.

However, any deal is now off the table, reports the Athletic.

It's claimed Tottenham have decided to pull Alli off the market as they do not have time to find a replacement.

Complicating matters was the decision to allow on-loan Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes to leave in order to join Galatasaray today.
