Tottenham attacker Heung-Min Son admits he's grateful to manager Mauricio Pochettino for improving his game.

He credits a lot of his success to Pochettino, who signed him for Tottenham at the fourth time of asking.

When Pochettino was with Southampton he convinced the owners to invest in the South Korean as he was certain that he had the right attitude and technique required to succeed in the Premier League, but the bids fell short and he moved to Germany instead in 2013.

He told the Mirror: “Pochettino has been unbelievable for me in the small things and also the big things.

“He has helped me a lot, even the decision to bring me in from Germany and give me a chance.

“He took a big risk on me to go for the Asian Games and when I returned he takes me in as if I never left.

“His attention to detail is unbelievable and that is why he is one of the best in the world."
