Tottenham failed with a huge offer for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez over the summer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport says Tottenham and Atletico Madrid both had €90m (£77m) bids knocked back for Inter striker Martinez .

Arsenal also saw an offer turned down by the Serie A champions, according to the newspaper.

Inter did lose their other first-choice striker Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea for a fee of €115m (£97.5m) during the transfer window.
