Pape Matar Sarr is closing in on a move to Tottenham from Metz.

The highly rated midfielder is poised to join the North London club for roughly £14.6 million.

Sky Sportsreports Spurs will loan Sarr back to Metz for the entire 2021-2022 season.

The midfielder is only 18 and both parties believe his development would be aided by staying in his present surroundings for another season.

Sarr has only been at Metz for a year, joining from Generation Foot.

He is already a regular, scoring four goals in 25 appearances last term.
