Tottenham ace Heung-min Son matches unwanted Lee Cattermole record

Tottenham ace Heung-min Son has matched an unwanted Lee Cattermole record.

On Sunday, he became the first player since Lee Cattermole in 2010 to be sent off THREE times in calendar year on Sunday.

The Spurs star, 27, was shown a red card for a third time in 2019 after needlessly kicking out at Antonio Rudiger in the 2-0 defeat at home to Chelsea.

Not since notorious hardman Cattermole in 2010 had any player been sent for an early shower so often in a single year.

This weekend, Son lashed out at Rudiger in frustration after the pair tussled for the ball and was given a straight red.

Beyond Son and Cattermole, only Franck Queudrue (Middlesbrough, 2002), Dion Dublin (Coventry, 1997) and Vinnie Jones (Wimbledon, 1995) have been shown three red cards in a single year in Premier League history.
