Tottenham Hotspur young gun Dele Alli could face retrospective action for a wild swing on West Bromwich Albion's Claudio Yacob.
This season's PFA Young Player of the Year appeared to punch the Baggies midfielder during Monday night's 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane and is now in danger of being suspended for three matches which would prematurely end his campaign.
There is footage and pictures of the 20-year-old's actions which are sure to be closely inspected by the FA, particularly as it is not the first petulant act by Alli this term.
Regarding the incident, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino told Sky Sports:"I didn't see. I heard some comments. I need to watch the game and the action, so I cannot say nothing."
Standard protocol for any player who receives retrospective action involving violent conduct, if found guilty, is a three-game suspension.
Tottenham slipped up in the title race with the disappointing result which sees them sitting seven points behind league leaders Leicester City who can now clinch the title with a win over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
