Chelsea's assistant first team coach Michael Emenalo believes under-fire striker Fernando Torres is missing the deliver from his old Liverpool teammates. The Spaniard scored just once in 18 appearances in all competitions since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Anfield in January and Emenalo feels it is because he has fully yet to settle in his new surroundings.
"I can say he's still adapting to the pattern of Chelsea at the moment," Emenalo told Goal.com.
"This is due to the fact he's still missing the juicy passes being served to him by the likes of [Xabi] Alonso and [Steven] Gerrard, but with time he will adapt."
And Emenalo added that some other players in the Chelsea squad played below par last season due to heaping pressure from the title win in 2009/10.
"High expectations from fans and management made them play the way they played, in the sense that they didn't perform as usual because they were playing under pressure," he added.
