Fernando Torres is in line to turn out for Liverpool in their clash with Manchester City.

The Spain striker is back in training and appears over his groin injury.

Torres was forced to sit out this week's internationals against Argentina and Austria in a bid to aid his recovery.

Torres had been keen to face Argentina on Saturday at the Vicente Calderon stadium, which the 25-year-old called home before leaving Atletico Madrid for the Barclays Premier League in 2007.
