Lucas Torreira will have a medical in London and join Arsenal as soon Uruguay's World Cup campaign comes to an end, the player's father has confirmed.
The Sampdoria midfielder has been one of the main targets for the Gunners this summer and will sign a €30m deal with the club.
"I want the best for my son and I also know that Arsenal showed a lot of interest in him," Ricardo Torreira told Radio Crc.
"It's not done, neither is it official, because he hasn't signed anything, but there's a great chance that Lucas' future will be in England.
"There was no problem in the negotiations, and the latest is that as soon as the World Cup ends, he'll go to London for a medical."
