Toronto investment group seek MLS club in Detroit

Detroit's Pontiac Silverdome may be used for soccer after a Toronto-based family-owned real estate investment group were the highest bidders in a recent private auction.

The 'Dome used to host the Detroit Lions in the NFL and the Detroit Pistons in the NBA but now may play host to a MLS franchise that has been mooted.

According to Fred Leeb, Pontiac's state-appointed emergency financial manager, "Their primary intention is to continue to use the Silverdome as a place for sports and bring in men and women's soccer teams at the MLS level."
